OUR STORY
Bringing beef tallow back home.
For most of American history, beef tallow was a staple of the home kitchen. It seared steaks, fried potatoes, flaked pie crusts, and seasoned cast iron. Then somewhere along the way it was replaced — quietly and almost entirely — by industrial seed oils dressed up in healthier-looking packaging.
Golden Render was founded to push back. We believe the fats our great-grandparents cooked with were the right ones all along: stable under heat, rich in flavor, and made from a single ingredient you can actually pronounce.
Every batch we produce is made from 100% American beef fat, traditionally rendered at a USDA-inspected facility in Illinois. No solvents. No deodorizing. No shortcuts. Just clean, golden tallow — exactly the way it's been made for centuries.
